The Best! January 7, 2009 Debbie (Ormond Beach FL) From using a portable hand mixer to using the stand mixer I always dreamed of owning meant that I needed more information on just how to use all the power and not kill my cookies and other culinary delights. I think this book is just the very best. It should have come with my new Artisan Series 5-Quart Mixer in Stainless Steel. If you own a stand mixer buy this book.
A must for your stand mixer December 29, 2008 Cheryl 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I received this as a gift along with my Kitchenaid stand mixer. I love this book! It has a wonderful variety of easy recipes. And I LOVE that it tells you exactly which speed to use on the mixer. It really helped me learn how to use my mixer. Every stand mixer should come with one of these books. Fantastic!
Like the Second Edition even better! December 16, 2008 cooksalot (Carlsbad, CA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I own the first Mixer Bible and just got the new 2nd edition and love it. You have to search for the second edition because Amazon sends you to the old edition if your coming from the KA mixer page. They've added pictures and new recipes and have changed many recipes in the pasta chapter. I also love the new cracker recipes, homemade buttery croissants and coffee cakes. They've also added a great recipe for Mile High Meringue which I've tried with the Lemon Meringue Pie. The recipe is foolproof and tender. Just the way I like my meringue. The Mixer Bible 2nd edition is well worth getting if you love your mixer.
LOVE IT!! December 15, 2008 L. Lenz (Snellville, GA USA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I've seen other reviews complain about a lack of pictures, but...that is definitely NOT a problem for me. Don't let that sway you. If you a new owner of a lovely Kitchenaid mixer (like me), then you shouldn't hesitate to purchase this book. Great descriptions of the attachments, really nice recipes. Lots of bang for your buck! I like the fact that it's not all baked goods. Really shows off the diversity of your mixer.
Book for all December 8, 2008 Dorothy B. Schauer (Spring Hill, Fl.) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have two sons that still live at home. They are having a great time with the recipes. Just got the Kitchen Aid mixer and really enjoy using it. They are taking turns making desserts and then we rate their finished products. Of course, they are all great.
