Barefoot Contessa at Home November 19, 2008 J. L. Ross (Fort Lauderdale, FL) I requested a used copy in good condition, but I was sent a new copy! Thank You very much. The book is excellent, of course and I am very grateful for your good service and high standards.
Lovely Ina November 9, 2008 Linda F. Mcclintock (Elizabeth City, NC) Typical and wonderful Ina fare. Great simple, "gourmet" recipes. Ina integrates life in The Hamptons with her various vegetable, seafood, pasta, dessert, etc. dishes. Her excellent taste is reflected in her tips on table decorating. She offers various tips on entertaining in a simple, but elegant style. I will be purchasing more of her cookbooks.
Fabulous book October 2, 2008 book reader (CA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Ina Garten is a wonderful cook and cookbook author. Her recipes are simple, yet elegant, and most are quite easy to prepare and don't require a lot of ingredients. She covers the range from appetizers to desserts, and offers menu suggestions to help when you're in a rut.
I own several of Garten's cookbooks and enjoy them all. She has an easy style and casual way of communication that makes anyone feel like they are capable of recreating the dishes in her books. Garten is passionate about her ingredients, and offers tips on various brands she feels are the best, to help your finished dish turn out as best as it can.
This book is filled with beautiful photographs, which add to its appeal. Most of us want to see what the recipe we'll be preparing will look like when it's done.
I highly recommend this book for anyone from the novice to experienced cook.
Make the bread! September 19, 2008 M. Irlbeck (California) The Honey White Bread recipe alone, makes this book worth every penny. It's what I expected from Ina and so much more!
Don't hesitate on this one, you will be pleased with your purchase.
