Love, Love, Love It! August 10, 2010 elmrino This book is perfect for any classy lady out there. I love the diagrams and sarcasm!
Should be a text book in high school! July 31, 2010 Pamela McCulloch I loved this book.!! Yes, it is very basic but sadly that is where most girls need to start! I grew up in the South and attended charm school when I was younger. I now live in the Northwest and realize not everyone grows up being taught basic manners. Halfway through reading this book I called my friend who teaches high school English and told her we should propose this be taught as a class. Thank you Derek Blasberg for acknowledging that trashy is NOT classy! I will save this for my daughter to read along with The Rules by Ellen Fein and Sherrie Schneider.
A classy read July 29, 2010 Hongyu Johnson 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Cheeky, clever, entertaining and insightful, Derek Blasberg's guide on how to be a cool, modern lady is worth the read. He gives a candid perspective on how to style yourself, how to act in the company of others and how to avoid (or at least be able to recover from) gaffes, other embarrassing situations and temptations. Although he is not a female himself, he certainly knows more than many others about how to distinguish a lady from a tramp and shows you how to avoid falling into the latter category.
Today a Girl, Tomorrow a Lady July 25, 2010 Marc B (Toronto, Canada) It is no surprise that Classy is a New York Times best seller. This witty, funny, and yet very insightful book gives today's young girls a guide on how to be classy apposed to trashy. Forget Park Avenue pearls and headbands, this book gives today's modern girl a chic and non-matronly approach to being a lady. This book is perfect for the girls who have thrown manners out the door, and have traded them in for velour track suits and shorter hemlines. Consider Classy the new survival guide for young girls. This book makes a great gift for the daughters, friends or co-workers who consider lingerie as outerwear. (Believe me when I say we all have that girl in our lives) Or perhaps you will buy the book for yourself, there is no harm in brushing up on your pleases and thank you's. Thank you to Mr. Derek Blasberg for making today's young girls into a Classy young ladies.
