Product Description All about the most popular monsters of D&D--the dragons!
Draconomicon I: Chromatic Dragons describes several varieties of dragons, including red, blue, green, black, and white dragons, as well as three completely new chromatic dragons.
This sourcebook gives details of each dragon's powers, tactics, myths, lairs, servitors, and more. In addition, this book provides new information about draconic nations (such as Arkhosia) and organizations, and how chromatic dragons fit into the D&D game. Wide-ranging story and campaign elements in the book give DMs ready-to-play material that is easily incorporated into a gane, including adventure hooks, quests, and pregenerated treasure hoards.

Draconomican January 8, 2009 Rynthia H. Eason It was a detail book and interesting. A FOUR AND 1/2 STAR BOOK. Thank you, Rynthia Eason.
Balance of fluff and crunch in a 4e product? January 6, 2009 Karl A. Rodriguez (San Antonio, Texas United States) I was pleasantly surprised by the Draconomicon (volume 1). It has good background on dragons and how they are envisioned in 4e. It contains lots of new monsters and fills in the age gaps for dragons left out of the Monster Manual. I did not agree with some of the art for a couple of the dragons, and was disappointed that there are no stats for metallic dragons (yet...I guess volume 2 will have that...yay! WotC marketing!).
At least, though WotC is changing its paradigm it seems by adding more fluff in their products to evoke a feel rather than a bunch of stat blocks for monsters, magic, and powers. I would point out that the book is better suited for the DM rather than a player (IMO).
Draconomicon: Chormatic Dragons (D&D Rules Expansion) January 2, 2009 Afranio Raposo Tenorio Filho (Maceio-AL, Brazil) This is, like all new D&D books a very good title to have. This new ed give back all that the dungeons and dragons have from best. (sorry my english) :D O novo D&D arrebenta, um super livro muito bem trabalhado, e o servico da Amazon e muito bom.
D&D shows they're about Dragons! December 22, 2008 Jason Harper 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Wizards has done a good job making a Draconomicon for the non-draconic inclined. It's easy to understand, with some advanced hoard rules and critters for those that are obsessed with the mythical beasts.
