Amazon.com This box set of paperbacks includes the first three books in Robert Jordan's bestselling epic fantasy series, the Wheel of Time. No saga since Tolkien's Lord of the Rings has evoked such fervor among readers. In the first Wheel of Time book, The Eye of the World, Jordan introduces a world broken by phenomenal power and threatened by engulfing shadow. In The Great Hunt, our hero, Rand al'Thor, begins his epic journeys with a quest for the lost Horn of Valere, which promises to raise long-dead Heroes of Legend. And in The Dragon Reborn, Rand's destiny begins to take shape as his followers flock to him, and the world descends further into darkness. This box set is a great way to begin exploring the world of the Wheel of Time. But don't stop here, the second set awaits!

Robert Jordan & Terry Goodkind August 27, 2008 Kevin Ketring (Toledo Ohio) OK I have read The Sword Of truth series. It was Great So I decided To try the Wheel of Time. I truly belive that Robert Jordan And Terry Goodkind are the same. There series are so simaler and so different at first i was a littole disapointed, after I started The Wheel Of time I am glad I stuck with. Great Great Series
Doesn't dissapoint August 26, 2008 C. Wagner (Denali, AK) I've been a reader of fantasy for quite some time now. I have long heard of the 'Wheel of Time' series, but tend to stick to the authors I already know and enjoy. My older brother is not an avid fantasy reader, but apparently happened upon the first book and read it. He recommended it to me, so I figured I'd try it out. I've only just finished the first book, but have found that I enjoy Jordan's creation, from world to characters. Those of you who like fantasy and haven't yet looked into 'Wheel of time' would do well to give it a try.
All Great Books. There will be a Final Book (#12 Memory of Light), Even with Jordans Death June 19, 2008 Joe Ross Hill (Fallon, NV USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I enjoyed all his books, I have read all published books to date (Books 1-11) I say keep reading, even though sometimes Jordan rambles on, and such, even what some say is a Average/Poor book from his. It still is head and shoulders about all written Series save a hand full on equal par. HOWEVER, I DO HAVE VERY BAD NEWS, BUT ALSO GREAT NEW FOR WHEEL OF TIME READERS, AT LEAST WITH REGARDS TO HIS FINAL BOOK #12. Please read the following passage all readers need to know both bits of information.
Robert Jordan (this is his publishing name, not his real)....his real name is JAMES OLIVER RIGNEY, JR. Here is a link so you can read it all(www.dragonmount.com/RobertJordan/). James Rigney (aka Robert Jordan) passed away in September of 2007 (last fall)....however there is still good news for all the readers. The whole staff and editors have the notes and spoken ideas Jordan left while in the hospital the last few days before he passed on. The Book will be named A Memory of Light! The family and editors have hired a Fantasy writer to finish the Series and last book. This Writer (Brandon Sanderson) was a personal friend, and was mentored by Jordan too over the years. He will also have Robert Jordan's wife... Harriet.. helping (she edited and helped on all the books with him). They say on their web-site that they are shooting for Late Fall or Early winter (Sept-Nov) in 2009 to have the last book in the Wheel of Time Series on the shelf. This will be called as I said Memory of Light and will be book 12 and will finish the Wheel of Time. This is what they our saying at least, and they know the book might be BIG, and very hard to get all plots and everything in place...... so the Last Battle can be fought....but they will do it, so they say. I really enjoyed all the books, and I know with all the help from his wife (who knows a man better then his wife) this will be worthy of Robert Jordan's Memory and Life.

Wheel of Time June 15, 2008 Turtleman Robert Jordan is an incredible author whose masterful style permeates his series- The Wheel of Time. Jordan has a very nice style filled with description and detail. His story is filled with memorable characters countless prophecies which are realized in completely unexpected ways. This series is an absolute must for a complete fantasy collection.
These books are long... June 6, 2008 Chad Brow (Westport, MA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Why do I torture myself? I love to read, especially fantasy, but I am a slow reader. I just finished the third book last night, and read a few/several pages a night before I go to bed. I took me over a year to finish it! The books are very long winded and repetitive. Jordan has his characters spend hundreds of pages just traveling from town to village to city. Throughout all the books I hear myself yelling "Get on with it!' a lot. These books could easily be cut in half and be much improved. One thing I hate is dream sequences, and these books have tons of them. I do have to say though, I will read the 4th book, I guess I'm a glutten for punishment.
