Product Description The Melting Cross is an erotic psychospiritual thriller. Before Jack Sargent picks up a mysterious melted cross from the floor of a fellow psychiatric patient's room, he is just your average middle-aged American man who suffers a nervous breakdown. Although curious, he's not the type of man you would expect to find rummaging through back-alleys for scraps of food, saying prayers to Guardian Angels, or taking trips via hypnosis to a Satanic Orgy in a Medieval cave. But, Jack manages to do all these things and more in The Melting Cross. After finding the cross, Jack begins to have spiritual visions and disturbing flashbacks. And he meets people whom he later discovers are all connected to a past life in 16th Century France - including Nancy, the love of his life who is also the wife of a wealthy businessman. When Jack is confronted with the task of battling the demonic powers of a Satanic Medieval Priest, he not only has to call upon God's Angels, but he also has to fight his own demons and voyeuristic yearnings....

An erotic thrill ride...... October 16, 2001 Jan Guppy (Canada) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Melting cross left me questioning my beliefs. Never before has a novel challenged my faith or ignited me to explore the possibilities of reincarnation and soul mates. The brutal fight between good versus evil and sane versus insane mixed with the impressive sexual suspense was superb. Even months after this incredible read, I am enthralled with the idea and concepts with-in its pages. Melting Cross was complex and original and extremely thought-provoking. I highly recommend this book for those not afraid to take a walk on the other side.......
Captivating, Exciting A must Read! August 8, 2000 Diane Keirstead (Montreal, Quebec, Canada) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
It is with great pleasure that I am submitting one of the first reviews of Jeremy McCloud's "The Melting Cross." I was not able to set the book down from the get-go. It's exciting, enthralling and it certainly Sizzzzzzles! The book is not only well written but one can easily identify with the main character Jack Sargent. Our erotic Jack finds himself at a very low level in his life, winding up in a mental facility in Chicago trying desperately to piece together the missing pieces of his life. The book delves deeply into a level of spirituality that most people yearn to achieve. It touches realistic issues that occur in our everyday lives. Jeremy McCloud approaches this spirituality with a certain profound wisdom and manages to add a level of sexuality that is candidly surprising. I would strongly recommend this novel for anyone who wants to escape to another mysterious level of understanding. The way the author develops the storyline and connects it to past lives makes for a very interesting read. I hope you all it enjoy it as much as I did.
Amazing! Powerful! Erotic! August 4, 2000 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
The Melting Cross is definitely for broad-minded mature readers who want a book that challenges the view that sex and spirituality belong under separate titles. Jeremy McCloud's masterful storytelling talent has produced a very stimulating and erotic plot with realistic and well-developed characters. When Jack Sargent is found by the coastguard on the shores of Lake Michigan, he is desolate, tired and cold. And to make matters worse, Jack is unable to talk. After being placed in a Chicago hospital, he soon finds himself in the company of bizarre characters reminiscent of "Who Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest." There's a difference, though. Each character that Jack meets has been known by him in a previous life 300 years before: all participants in a Satanic Orgy set in a Medieval Cave. Why Jack has been chosen to unravel this mystery and to find the Satanic Priest behind it all is a mission that kept this reader turning the pages from cover to cover in record speed. This is one of the best psychospiritual thrillers I've ever read. It made me experience the full spectrum of emotions. And, by the way, the sex scenes are so powerful and realistic, I found myself being transported back in time imagining myself to be Nancy.....anyway, I don't want to give away the plot. I definitely recommend this book to anyone with an open mind and an adventurous spirit!
