| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description This delightful collection of Indian folk tales-retold for an international audience-contains beautifully illustrated stories that provide an insight into the traditional culture and history of India. Retold here are the wonderful tales of how the Lord Krishna escapes the evil Kamsa's repeated attempts to kill him, and how the elephant keeper's daughter Rani humbles an unwise and unjust king by emptying his storehouses of rice.

Wonderful Stories May 14, 2007 Mita Havlick 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
My four-year-old son (and I) have learned so much about Hinduism -- religion and philosophy -- by reading this delightful book. This is a great gift for the Westernized Indian parent who wants to instill a bit of Indian culture in his/her child.
