SOTW v4 March 16, 2010 C. Landrum All of the Story of the World volumes have been a hit with my grade-school aged son. Volume 4 was no exception. As soon as I handed him the cds he was off to his room where he stayed for hours on end, listening to the history recordings. Who knew history studies could be so fun! These volumes are a great way to learn valuable information. My son already knows way more history than I ever learned and he's only nine!
Wonderful Book December 11, 2009 Rachel (New Jersey) Received as described. We are a homeschooling family that uses this book as our spine for history (whole book approach). The children absolutely love this book. History is written as a story, making it very interesting to younger students.
Great books November 21, 2009 Brian Buchholz We've just begun this series of 4 books due to Classical Conversations homeschool curriculum. I have enjoyed teaching history, but my kids haven't quite caught the bug. This series has given them something to look forward to. Every day for homework they read a couple chapters and relate to me how much they like the stories; never a complaint.
Wonderful history curriculum, works for busy families too! June 12, 2009 Carrie C (Statesville, NC USA) SOTW is a great curriculum, written as a narrative, the kids really enjoy it. I can also have "school on the road" when we have doctor visits as I have the book on CD also.
Exceptional Educational Material December 12, 2008 Chris Walker (Chattanooga, TN) Susan Wise Bauer's material has always been a favorite in our home. For the past three years I've always read aloud the books to my children. But for a change this year I wanted to try the audio CDs. We're really enjoying them. Bauer's ability to communicate history in an exciting way and the audio's narrator and character voices really grab their interest. This is the best material for grades 1 thru 8 that we've found! I highly recommend!
