Product Description As a little girl, Jane has no one. Her mother, the powerful head of a Broadway theater company, has no time for her. She does have one friend-a handsome, comforting, funny man named Michael-but only she can see him.
Years later, Jane is in her thirties and just as alone as ever. Then she meets Michael again-as handsome, smart and perfect as she remembers him to be. But not even Michael knows the reason they've really been reunited.
SUNDAYS AT TIFFANY'S is a love story with an irresistible twist, a novel about the child inside all of us-and the boundary-crossing power of love.

Absurdly wonderful August 4, 2008 J. Cain (East Coast, USA) Is the premise plausible? Of course not! "What if your imaginary friend from childhood was your one true love?" It's printed right on the front of the book. I read it and I was intrigued, and at the same time skeptical. The truth is, once you get past the crazy-sounding premise that imaginary friends actually exist, it is totally believable and so romantic. Patterson has crafted the perfect man as only could be done with an imaginary man. What other man could be so perfect? He's handsome, sexy, compassionate, intelligent, gentle, wise, strong, and a wonderful listener. He does an excellent job of making you believe his fairy tale -- you find yourself immersed in the story and forgetting about the obvious fact that imaginary friends don't actually exist. By the end, you are on the edge of your seat and hoping that everything works out for the unlikely couple. There are a couple of twists and turns, which you kind of have to expect when the prologue of the book is a small snippet of the ending and it doesn't paint a nice picture. To say more would give away too much. This book was an easy read and I found it engrossing. Chick-lit? Absolutely!
This book would make a great movie in my opinion. As I read the book, the scenes played out in my head just like a movie -- a testament to the writing for sure. I couldn't picture anyone but Holland Taylor playing Vivienne Margaux. And for some reason, Carter Oosterhouse came to mind for Michael. Would love to see this book hit the big screen!
Don't waste your time or money. July 30, 2008 R. Weikman Nice idea.....terrible book. I kept reading, thinking it would get better and finished it quickly (it's not long & has big print). I know it's a fantasy, but none of it made any sense! None of the characters knew "why" everything was happening to them and when you did get some kind of explaination - it was stupid. I am so glad that I borrowed this book from a girlfriend and will be discussing how much it sucked at book club tonight.
Definitely not one of Patterson's better books! July 29, 2008 Anna (Beaumont, TX USA) I'm glad I received this book as a gift. I would be upset if I had actually purchased it!
Slightly Disappointed July 25, 2008 precious mom (san francisco, ca) I'm glad I bought this book at discount price online, it's definitely not worth full retail price.
I loved Patterson's Susanne's Diary to Nicolas and thought Sundays at Tiffany's would be an equally great love story. I finished the book in a day because I liked the first half of the book. Then I was eager to finish it because I wanted to know more about Michael and his "job" and who he was. I waited and waited and WAITED ... I was so disappointed when it was not elaborated and I am still as confused as ever. I know it's a fiction, but still, I wish there was more creativity and closure to Michael's character.
Beautiful Modern Fairytale July 25, 2008 speechmom (Waukesha, WI) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was surprised after finishing this book on how many negative reviews it got. I devoured it in 5 hours! This is acually the first James Patterson book that I actually finished (I started reading Beach Road, but I didn't care for his writing style). It is a beautiful love story that I could see making a great movie.
