4 out of 5 stars Awkwardly Romantic   January 6, 2009

This title was an interesting read. I was a little weary at first when reading it, but once I got a sense of the characters i fell in love with the book. Very well written and taboo subjects are very difficult to get a following on; however this book will definitely have a following for its pure rarity.

4 out of 5 stars Truly amazing   December 11, 2008
M/M fan
It's beyond belief that this little self-published book has gotten such amazing rankings. It's a testament to the determination of the author and the narrow-mindedness of the publishing world. This novel is an intriguing investigation into a young man's self-discovery and obviously flat out taboo that he has an affair with his father. But, so many people have supported this story, it's astounding. I only wish 'Mr. Holloway' had the luxury of an editor. I'm sure when he rereads it, he cringes at the errors in the text. Perhaps someone will spot this little ditty and re-release it for the author, complete with a good work over to correct all the mistakes, (ie, the spelling shifts from Brett to Bret, a neighbor who is Stan, then Steve, aint instead of ain't, his Father, instead of his father...) yet, even with all these problems this book's story is still shining through. I have to ask myself why.
Guts. It took guts to publish it, self or otherwise. I was just as riveted to the action as the other reviewers. Hats off to the author for taking one heck of a chance on his 'baby'. I wish you luck in getting it reworked and perfected.

4 out of 5 stars Guilty Pleasure   November 21, 2008

Wow. I was reading excerpts of innocent gay novels when I stumbled upon this work. It intrigued me, but I steered clear of it at first when I saw a review saying it had sex between a father and son :-O. However, one night I couldn't resist and I read the first thirty or so pages of it. I was instantly hooked, though the book had serious editing faults. Once I ordered it, I read it in one day. The book is currently buried beneath my bed because I am ashamed of having enjoyed it so much, but I just can't get rid of it. It was maybe a little slutty, which I do not admire, but erotica with one lover throughout would have been boring. What really surprised me was the depth of this story. I thought it would be nothing but SEX (which there IS a lot of), but it was an actual story!
Kudos, Holloway.
