loved her other books October 6, 2008 J. Wilson (Spring Hill,TN USA) so i was so disappointed in this one the lead female character just was not up to her usual standards it read like a filler story like something to "fill" the space between good books and it really stinks because i waited so long for it
Couldn't Put it Down!! August 19, 2008 hockeychic65 (Northern Michigan, USA) Brazen is the latest book by Maya Banks that I have read. It was a great book. I read it in one day as I couldn't put it down!
I urge you to read this book.
Jaz returns home from a year in Paris to convince Zand & Seth that she loves them both. She easily convinces Zane, however it is very entertaining as she convinces Seth to see things her way.
Jasmine needs to Grow up First August 12, 2008 Cindy (dallas texas) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Normally I love Ms. Banks, but this story left me a little annoyed. Jasmine moves to Paris because she cant decide what to do because she love Seth and Zane both and she cant choose. She comes home to convince them to both love her like she does them. Seth very gruff loves Jasmine but doesn't think he can share the women he loves with his brother Zane. I just couldn't get into this story with Jasmine going back and forth between the two brothers even getting them to fight over her. Just felt her to be very immature and selfish really only thinking about her own wants and desires. Just me but I also like it better when in a threesome relationship that there is one the girl likes more and the third is along for a fun ride and them not all three living happily ever after, but thats just me.
"I'LL GIVE YOU WHAT YOU WANT SUGAR, JUST THIS ONE TIME..." July 14, 2008 A. Trotman (Boston) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
And Maya so0o0o0o0o0 gave me what I wanted!! Words don't describe how excellent this book was. I can try, but it means nothing standing next to the real thing that is this book. I am still trying to come down off of my high after reading this book, and reading Colters' Woman 2 days after didn't help at aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall! This was my first "non Zane" adult book, and I love Zane, but I have to say, Maya, Maya, Maya, you have won a new fan. I loved the way the characters interacted with each other, wanting to protect Jaz, but also wanting her themselves. When Jaz gets driven home drunk by Zane----------I had to read that 8x!!!!! No coincidence my favorite character was ZANE, just like one of my favorite authors. I must say, Maya has one herself a new DEVOTED, devoted, devoted fan. Don't read this book at work or on the train, ppl WILL stare at you like they did to me on my breaks and on my ride home, b/c I was cheesing and giggling like a motha!!! Maya took my mind to places I don't think any author has with her words. Excellent, excellent story line. Ya, it's smut, BUT YOU CAN SEE THAT FROM THE COVER. The book cover is kind of misleading, but in a good way. Hot! Hot! Hot! I may have to buy a new Brazen next year from reading it so much THIS year!
3.5 stars! July 13, 2008 E. Hill (Palm Bay, Florida United States) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I really wanted to sink my teeth into this book, especially after reading Coulter's Woman. But there was just something missing from this story that made it hard for me to enjoy. Don't get me wrong it was a thoroughly like-able book, but I was expecting more. Zane loves Jaz, Seth loves Jaz, Jaz love both Zane and Seth, everyone has known each other for the past 6 years now so there should've been some better defined and explosive chemistry. But there wasn't, the chemistry came in waves, low at some points and high at others. Zane was the main person I liked in this book, he didn't fight the issue and took it for what it was (or what it could be). Seth fought it tooth and nail and was willing to hurt the person he loved so that he didn't have to share. Jaz started out naive in her way of thinking, and was whiny at sometimes. The plot was kind of blah, the sex scenes got really good toward the end, but I don't know whether or not this is a keeper.
