Survival Handbok November 11, 2008 Charles V. Thompson (Huntington,WV.) Mr.Wiseman covers all of the bases with this book. Well worth reading. He really knows his stuff. Excellent source of inforation.
Excellent Survival Information November 6, 2008 G (Houston, TX) This book provides great instruction on surviving crisis situations. It is not a "gear" book and does not attempt to sell products like some books. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to be able to provide life saving action for themselves or their family.
Fantastic survival book October 31, 2008 Richard Gregory (Three Rivers, Michigan) You know the saying when you stop looking for something you then find what you are looking for. I purchased this book with the mangnesium firestarter. I thought what the heck another surival book but at least i get a deal on the firestarter. After i opened this book i quickly forgot all about the firestarter. I was amazed at the greatness of this book. I can't say enough here about it you have to see it to believe it. I own about a dozen survival book and this is the best of the best. Actuall colored photos on edible and not edible plant, color photos on posinious snakes as well. The section on traps and shelters is top notch. Knot tying is also a great section. This book has rekindled my desire to grab my knife and go test myself in the wilds. simply superb
Do you want to be a Mountain Man? October 30, 2008 B. Sanders (Wisconsin) Very good book, packed with detail. Good bathroom read. I can't wait to put some new lessons to use.
Long book, short review. October 11, 2008 Eric M. Bessette (Tobyhanna, Pa USA) I dont wanna write a book explaining this thing, but, even if youre just a part time backpacker, hiker or camper, this is a book you want to invest in. Lots of good information on lots of areas in the world. There is some stuff in here that should be common knowledge, but will teach you new things you never would have thought.
All and all, for 13 bucks, if the book helps even once while in the wilderness, you got your moneys worth. Its a must read/have for alot of people, from weekend warriors to that hardcore survivalist in your family.
